Casa Aljibe - A Refuge for Vulnerable Youth

During the stay of the residents, estimated to be between 6 months and 2 years depending on circumstances, we take care, in collaboration with the Amani platform, of their maintenance, documentation management (registration, passport, residency, academic validations, etc.), and professional and academic training.

Project Impact

The project began in January 2021, and CASA ALJIBE has so far housed more than 30 young people from different countries such as Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Palestine, Gambia, and Senegal. All of them have been able to leave CASA ALJIBE after obtaining their residence permit and finding a decent job.

Current Situation

Currently, we are hosting Said, Mouad, Abdeluahid, and Youssef. Abdelhuahid has just entered the shelter at the beginning of Ramadan, replacing Abdelghani, who has become independent and now works in a prestigious hair salon in the center of Granada.

We Need Your Help

The project must continue, and for this reason, we ask for your support to cover the expenses of CASA ALJIBE for a year: electricity and water bills, internet, community fees, maintenance, training courses, and legal assistance, among others.

About ALJIBE-DAR AL ANWAR

ALJIBE-DAR AL ANWAR is a non-profit association (CIF: G-19594860) based in Granada, at C/ Averroes, 25. Its objectives include:

  • Supporting refugees.
  • Conducting awareness workshops on Islam in schools.
  • Offering Arabic and Islamic education classes.
  • Organizing educational camps.
  • Guided visits to our valuable Andalusian heritage.
  • Other social and cultural activities.
