Dear brothers and sisters in Islam:

We address you with hearts filled with concern, but also with hope. Hamza Mosque, located at 12 Almenara Alta Street, one of the first mosques established in Barcelona, is going through a decisive moment.

The property owner has informed us that the rental contract will not be renewed starting next March. This place, which for years has been a house of prayer, learning, gathering, and brotherhood, is at risk of disappearing if we do not act quickly and with determination.

Hamza Mosque is not just a physical space. It is a reference point for many families, for our elders, our youth, and our children who took their first steps in learning the Din here. It is a place where the name of Allah has been mentioned day after day, where prayers, reminders, classes, and community activities have been held.

For this reason, we have launched a fundraising campaign with two main objectives:

  • To present an offer to purchase the current premises, thus ensuring its continuity.
  • If that is not possible, to raise the necessary funds to acquire a better and more stable location that guarantees the future of our community.

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

Contributing to the purchase or establishment of a mosque is a sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) whose reward continues even after our death. Every prayer performed there, every fast broken in Ramadan, every child who learns the Qur’an, will also be recorded as a reward for those who helped make it possible.

Today we have the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on our community in Barcelona. No matter whether your contribution is large or small; before Allah, what truly matters is sincerity and intention.

We ask you to contribute according to your ability and to share this appeal with family, friends, and acquaintances. United, with the help of Allah, we can protect this space and secure a strong future for the coming generations.

May Allah reward your generosity, multiply your contributions, and grant us all a house in Paradise for every effort made for His sake.

إخوتنا وأخواتنا في الإسلام،

نتوجّه إليكم بقلوبٍ يملؤها القلق، ولكن يحدونا الأمل والثقة بالله. إن مسجد حمزة الكائن في شارع ألمنارا ألتا 12 من أوائل المساجد التي أُسِّست في برشلونة، يمرّ اليوم بمرحلة حاسمة.

لقد أبلغنا مالك العقار أنه لا يرغب في تجديد عقد الإيجار ابتداءً من شهر مارس القادم، مما يهدد بإغلاق هذا البيت الذي اجتمعنا فيه للصلاة وتعلّم القرآن وتربية أبنائنا على دينهم إن لم نتحرّك سريعًا.

إن مسجد حمزة ليس مجرد جدران وسقف، بل هو بيت من بيوت الله، شهد ذكره سبحانه، وأقيمت فيه الصلوات، وتُلي فيه القرآن، واجتمعت فيه القلوب على الطاعة والأخوّة.

ولهذا بدأنا حملة تبرعات بهدفين أساسيين:

  • تقديم عرض لشراء المقر الحالي لضمان استمراره واستقراره.
  • وإن تعذّر ذلك، جمع المبلغ اللازم لشراء مقرّ أفضل وأثبت يحفظ مستقبل جماعتنا وأبنائنا بإذن الله.

قال رسول الله ﷺ:
«من بنى لله مسجدًا ولو كمفحص قطاة، بنى الله له بيتًا في الجنة»

المساهمة في شراء مسجد أو تأسيسه هي صدقة جارية، يستمر أجرها ما دام في المسجد مصلٍّ يركع، أو طفلٌ يتعلّم، أو مسلمٌ يذكر الله. كل ركعة تُصلّى فيه، وكل آية تُتلى، هي في ميزان حسنات من ساهم في إقامته.

اليوم أمامنا فرصة عظيمة لنثبت جذور هذا البيت من بيوت الله في برشلونة، ونؤمّن مستقبلًا ثابتًا لأجيالنا القادمة. لا تستصغروا أي مبلغ؛ فالله يبارك في القليل إذا صدقت النية.

نرجو منكم المساهمة بما تستطيعون، ونشر هذا النداء بين أهلكم ومعارفكم، فبتكاتفنا وبعد توفيق الله نستطيع أن نحفظ هذا المسجد ونحوّل هذا التحدّي إلى بداية جديدة أقوى بإذن الله.

نسأل الله أن يجزيكم خير الجزاء، وأن يبارك في أموالكم وأهليكم، وأن يبني لنا ولكم بيوتًا في الجنة.
