Loqman Mosque, located in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, has for years been a place of gathering, prayer, and unity for the Muslim community of the city.

After much effort, perseverance, and years of work from the community, a very important milestone has finally been achieved: the purchase of the upper floor of the building, which will allow the mosque to expand and improve its facilities for everyone.

The need for this expansion became especially clear during the past month of Ramadan. On many occasions, the number of worshippers exceeded the capacity of the current space. Members of the community had to pray very close together, and some were even forced to pray in the corridor due to lack of space in the main prayer hall.

For the sisters in the community, the situation has been even more difficult, as there has not been an adequate space available for them inside the mosque.

For this reason, the goal now is إن شاء الله to begin the construction work as soon as possible in order to prepare the new space and turn it into an extension of the mosque.

This expansion will provide a larger, dignified, and comfortable place of worship, where the entire community — men, women, and families — can gather to pray, learn, and connect.

This project represents an important step for the future of the Muslim community of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and an opportunity to continue strengthening a space of faith, coexistence, and support for الجميع.

The construction and expansion of a mosque is one of the most beautiful forms of ṣadaqah jāriyah, whose reward continues as long as people pray and remember Allah ﷻ within it.
