Oumaima El Oualadi, a young sister from Larache, Morocco, is facing a difficult trial. She suffers from otosclerosis, a condition causing progressive hearing loss.

Her left ear is severely damaged, and doctors have told her she must undergo urgent surgery to avoid total hearing loss. The operation costs €1,500 per ear. While both ears need treatment, saving the left one is the immediate priority.

Although she works in a hammam to support herself, this environment — filled with heat and noise — worsens her condition. Oumaima continues to struggle alone, after the loss of her father, with a smile and hope in her heart.
