The first time Tasnim became ill was in May 2024. She was only four years old. After several medical tests, specialists gradually discovered the illness.
In February 2025, she suffered a stroke and remained in a coma for ten days. When she woke up, she had paralysis on the left side of her body and could neither speak nor eat.
Tasnim was a completely normal child who loved to play, draw, and study. Today she has stopped going to school because of her illness. The stroke affected her brain and she currently suffers from vision and hearing problems, as well as changes in her behavior.
Moyamoya disease is a chronic and progressive cerebrovascular disorder characterized by the narrowing and blockage of the internal carotid arteries at the base of the brain.
