As-salamu alaykum, brothers and sisters in faith,

Recently, a devastating flood in Valencia has severely affected our mosques, causing structural damage and the complete loss of prayer mats . With Ramadan approaching in just a few months, it is imperative that our mosques are ready to serve the community during this holy month.

The Impact of the Flood:

  • Affected mosques:
    • Andalus Benetússer Mosque
    • Paiporta Islamic Cultural Center
    • Islamic Community of Alacuas
  • Significant material damage: The mosques mentioned have lost essential spaces for our prayers and community activities.
  • Loss of rugs and essential equipment: Prayer rugs and other vital equipment have been destroyed, affecting our daily religious practices.
  • Urgent repairs needed: Renovations are crucial to restore the functionality and safety of our mosques.

Your Sadaqah Jariya Can Make a Difference:

In Islam, sadaqah jariya (continuous charity) is a form of donation that benefits both the donor and the community in the long run.
