Our Story

We are the Assalam Islamic Community of Menorca (NIF G57594145). For years, we have rented a space that serves as our mosque, but our contract ends in three and a half years and we have no guarantee of renewal. This puts us in a fragile situation, with the real risk of losing our place of salat, education, and community gathering.

Our Goal

With the help of Allah ﷻ and your generosity, we aim to purchase our own space and transform it into a permanent mosque open to everyone. It will be a home of faith, knowledge, and unity for the Muslims of Menorca, and a legacy for future generations, in shā Allah.

The Importance of Your Help

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, even the size of a bird’s nest, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Ibn Mājah, 738)

And Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a grain that grows seven ears; in each ear is a hundred grains.”
(Qur’an 2:261)

Every donation, big or small, is a sadaqah jāriyah — a continuous charity that will benefit you even after your death, as thousands of prayers and lessons will take place there, in shā Allah.

The Urgency

We have just over three years left on our rental contract. Time is passing quickly, and if we don’t raise the funds in time, our community may be left without a mosque. That’s why we are launching this campaign, with photos of our current situation and the building we hope to buy and renovate, in shā Allah.
