About Maryam:

Salam Aleikum to everyone,

Allow us to introduce you to Maryam, a 32-year-old woman who resides in the city of Larache, Morocco. Maryam is the youngest sister in her family and, following a challenging divorce, she lived with her mother until just 6 months ago (May Allah have mercy on her soul). However, life has presented heart-wrenching challenges on her path.

The Diagnosis:

Recently, Maryam was diagnosed with uterine cancer, specifically a non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma located in the cervix. Fortunately, doctors have confirmed that the cancer has not spread beyond the cervix. Additionally, Maryam also battles chronic anemia, requiring periodic blood transfusions.

Her Current Situation:

Maryam comes from a humble family and, due to her health, can only work during the summer. For the rest of the year, she depends entirely on her brothers to cover rent and essential expenses for her survival.

Medical Challenges and Distance:

In Larache, the only hospital lacks the necessary equipment for radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Consequently, Maryam had to be transferred to a hospital in Tangier. Currently, she undergoes daily radiation therapy sessions and weekly chemotherapy. Since she has no relatives in Tangier, she now resides in a residence near the hospital, where her brothers can visit her once a day.

How You Can Help:

At this moment, we urgently need financial support to cover the following expenses:

  • Rent for the residence in Tangier.
  • Essential medications for cancer and anemia treatment.
  • Periodic blood transfusions.
  • Medical tests and treatment follow-ups.
