His situation prevents him from affording new adapted wheelchairs as he grows, since he has a neurological condition since birth—a lack of oxygen to the brain—which limits and prevents him from living a normal life. Doctors have prescribed a wheelchair adapted to his current size and condition, but his parents cannot afford it, and Haytham lives daily in an uncomfortable chair. He also needs rehabilitation to prevent his condition from worsening. His parents have tried several times to find help in Morocco, but they have not received any responses from centers there that can meet his needs due to their financial situation.
