A few years ago, before the pandemic, our sister Salma was diagnosed with meningitis, a condition that caused her complete loss of hearing. Doctors in Rabat were firm: “You will never hear again.” But Allah ﷻ is the Best of Healers, and through a successful operation, Salma was able to partially recover her hearing.

Since then, with the support of her family, friends, and a few charitable organizations, she was able to get hearing aids that allowed her to live with dignity and communicate with others.

Sadly, a few months ago, her hearing aids completely broke. And to make matters worse, her father — her main emotional and financial support — passed away. Now, Salma lives in heartbreaking silence, unable to hear her baby’s voice or words of comfort during difficult times.

“Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship in this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship on the Day of Judgment.”
(Hadith – Sahih Muslim)

She has reached out to us asking for help. With your support, we can raise the necessary funds for Salma to get new hearing aids and regain her quality of life. She will be able to hear again, speak with her child, and reconnect with the world around her.
