As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

The Islamic community of Monforte de Lemos (Lugo) urgently needs your help. For years, we have rented a small 200 m² space for nearly €700 per month. It no longer meets our needs, and the cost keeps increasing.

Despite limited resources, we have taken a major step forward by purchasing a new property: a former marble workshop of 908 m², which is ideal to be transformed into our mosque, community center, and educational space.

The total price was €130,000, of which we have raised €70,000 through the efforts of our local community. However, we still need to pay €60,000 by September 2025. If we don’t manage to collect this amount in time, we risk losing both the new space and everything already invested.

We have also begun essential renovation work so that we can move in as soon as possible and stop paying the current rent.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
