Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Our community is working to complete a new Islamic centre in Barcelona, a dignified and safe space that will be able to accommodate approximately 118 people.

Alhamdulillah, we already have the building permit and the necessary authorisations. The renovation is underway and we have acquired a significant portion of the materials, but the cost of completing all the work is substantial, and we need your support.

A space for faith, education and community

The centre will be dedicated to:

• Daily and Friday prayers.
• Qur'an education.
• Educational programmes for children and adults.
• Social and community activities.

We want it to become a place of faith, education, togetherness and support for families.

What do we need your support for?

This first campaign has a fundraising goal of €30,000, which will primarily be used for:

• Soundproofing the ceiling and walls.
• Acoustic materials and protective panels.
• Adapting installations and pipework.
• Electrical work, ventilation and safety systems.
• Labour and necessary technical work.

The work is already underway

The photographs show the current condition of the premises, the work completed so far and some of the materials we have already purchased. We have also included images of the project to show what the centre will look like once the renovation is complete, in sha Allah.

Our community has already made a significant financial effort, but we cannot cover the full cost of the project alone. That is why we are asking for your support to complete this first phase and finish the centre as soon as possible.

Every contribution, regardless of its amount, brings us closer to our goal. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with family, friends, mosques and communities would also be an invaluable form of support.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
